Role Overview
Salary: £35,730.00 - £43,670.00 per year. The role involves time on the road and includes a van and fuel card. It is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week with the opportunity to supplement earnings through call‑outs and overtime at competitive rates.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers’ homes as part of the Electrical Team.
* Respond to repairs and works within planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and SNG’s standard procedures.
* Maintain a strong health and safety mindset, applying best practices to all work.
* Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
* Record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.
Qualifications
* Relevant and up‑to‑date qualifications, including NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
* Experience within a similar role, preferably in the residential/housing sector.
* Full and current driving licence with a minimum of one year’s driving experience (subject to satisfactory licence check).
* Successful completion of an Essential Qualifications check.
