A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Wokingham is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their team from September.
Role Overview
This role will involve providing tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, including anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD, trauma-related difficulties, and emotional regulation challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to help pupils access learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health development
* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Requirements and Desired Background
Graduates or experienced support workers in mental health, psychology, counselling, social work, or education are encouraged to apply.
