About the Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll lead in delivering care that goes beyond professional standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll provide specialist nursing support and advice, take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervise/coaching colleagues to ensure a service that demonstrates empathy for resident issues.
About You
HC-One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC Pin, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. You should have a background in person-centred care planning within a care home. You’ll bring brilliant, positive energy and the ability to get along with people. You’ll be a great mentor who can manage time effectively and keep meaningful records. When communicating with residents or co-workers, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
You’ll value kindness above all, because it drives every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are people with their own stories. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs indicating possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
