We are looking for dedicated and experienced senior carer to join the team at our under The Abbeys Care Home. You'll be an integral part of the home's team and in line with our values. You will play a vital role in developing, planning, and delivering our quality, person-centred care and be responsible for overseeing the care team.

You will be working with a range of health professionals to support the individual resident in this part of their life – whatever that may look like and in line with our values. You enjoy being part of a team who value and celebrate each other's expertise, and you share our passion for providing quality care with a focus on rehabilitation. We use technology across our homes to help free up time to care for our residents, develop our teams and our service and improve the quality-of-care All team members receive training in how to use the technology relevant to their role, but prior knowledge of core systems listed below is useful, although not a requirement:

* Person centred software (PCS) for care planning.
* RADAR for managing risks, events, safeguarding's etc.
* Camascope for medication management and administration.
* Connecteam for accessing rotas, claiming shifts, and internal communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Development

* Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and open communication. Support the manager in maintaining high standards of team engagement and compliance through effective documentation, constructive conversations, and a person-centred approach to team management.
* Care Lead and support our care team in providing compassionate, individualised care to our residents in line with our values (training to be provided) including.

Care Planning and Delivery.

* Develop and implement personalised care plans, tailored to the unique needs and interests of each resident working closely with the resident, the relatives, wellbeing and rehabilitation team and other health professionals.
* Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging residents to engage in social activities and form meaningful connections within and outside the home.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, mealtimes, encouraging independent living and daily routines, demonstrating flexibility and initiative to continuously develop our care to better meet the needs of our residents.
* Administer medications and monitor the health and well-being of our residents, recording events in digital care plans and supporting with PRN protocols.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals, upholding our commitment to dignity, respect and privacy for all our residents at all times

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Qualifications and Knowledge

* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, equivalent qualification or willing to work towards this.
* A current clear DBS and a willingness to undertake a new one for this role.
* Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory requirements for quality and safety, meet CQC standards and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.

Leadership, Teamwork, and Behaviour

* A compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our residents, including treating everyone we support with dignity and respect.
* Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to role model, inspire, motivate and upskill fellow team members.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high standards of care.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

Experience and Right to Work

* Previous experience in a Senior Carer role.
* Right to work in the UK.
