We’re recruiting an Engineering Team Lead to play a key leadership role within a high-performing manufacturing and food processing environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering Shift Manager, you’ll lead a team of mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support mechanical, electrical and multi-skilled engineers on shift
* Deputise for the Engineering Shift Manager when required
* Prioritise and allocate engineering work to maintain production efficiency
* Drive preventative maintenance using CMMS / SAP PPM systems
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH and permit-to-work systems
* Support training and development of engineers and semi-skilled staff
* Work with contractors and visiting engineers on improvements and upgrades
* Maintain engineering documentation and records
* Promote 5S standards and environmental compliance
What We’re Looking For
* Time-served fitter with minimum 4 years industrial experience
* Strong mechanical or electrical background
* Previous supervisory or leadership experience
* Excellent fault-finding and decision-making ability
* IT literate with CMMS / SAP experience advantageous
* Organised, proactive and safety-focused
Desirable Experience
* Food manufacturing or poultry processing experience
* Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
