About the Role
Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
15 hours per week (Term-time only)
9:15 12:15 daily
Salary Scale Grade :7
Temporary contract until 31st August 2026

We are looking for nurturing and proactive Teaching assistant level 3 to support the academic, social, and emotional development of a child in Year 6. Working at St Andrew's CE Primary School, you will contribute to enable the child to thrive in school and be a valued member of our school team.
The successful candidates will have:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to the pupil, tailoring your approach to their individual needs for a child with ASC and ADHD and social emotional difficulties.
* To provide specific therapeutic interventions as directed by professionals.
* Have a sound knowledge/experience working with children with ASC and ADHD
* Support a personalised programme of support to maximise the pupil's strengths.
* Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement the pupil's support plan.
* Monitor the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher.
* Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* To support environmental adaptations to provide a suitable programme of sensory support.
* To build a strong relationship as a key person to support the pupil.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development in upper keystage 2.
