The Role
As a CNC Programmer, you will play a key role in producing accurate and efficient off-line CNC machining programmes to support a busy CNC centre. You\'ll work with a range of materials including foam, wood, textiles and tooling boards, using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery, textile cutters and waterjets.
This position requires strong CAD / CAM experience, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with operators, engineers and wider production teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce, edit and optimise CNC programmes using CAD / CAM software (Alphacam or similar).
* Create and update work instructions, drawings and cut / pack documentation.
* Design jigs, fixtures, tooling and shop aids for CNC operations.
* Support CNC operators with programming queries, troubleshooting and verification.
* Review and implement feedback to improve machining strategies and processes.
* Liaise with customers and suppliers, including attending site visits where required.
Qualifications
* Strong CAD / CAM experience with off-line CNC programming.
* Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery; familiarity with Alphacam or similar CAD/CAM software.
* Ability to work with materials such as foam, wood, textiles and tooling boards.
* Attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with operators, engineers and production teams.
