We’re looking for a customer‑focused Tech Engineer to join our team, with a strong emphasis on delivering high‑quality, face‑to‑face support through our Tech Bar. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys solving problems hands‑on, and takes pride in providing an exceptional user experience. You’ll play a key part in keeping our technology running smoothly across day‑to‑day incidents, requests, and device support.Location: Raynesway - DerbyDaily Rate: £ – PAYE, £ – UMBContract Length: 02nd March 2026 till 02nd February 2027Key Responsibilities Tech Bar Support
1. Deliver friendly, professional, in‑person IT support at the Tech Bar
2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, mobile, and application issues
3. Provide guidance and technical advice to users in a clear, approachable way
Operational Support
4. Manage incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
5. Support device builds, configuration, and troubleshooting
6. Assist with user onboarding, ensuring new starters have a seamless experience
7. Collaborate closely with the wider IT team to maintain smooth service operations
Key Requirements
8. Strong technical background, ideally at 2nd/3rd line level
9. Excellentmunication and customer service skills
10. Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
11. A team player who performs well in a fast‑paced environment
12. Solid knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and standard end‑user technologies
