Position: Year 1 Class Teacher
Location: Rochford
Salary: £125 - £240 per day (£24,375 - £46,800), depending on experience and qualifications!
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time options available)
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)
Main Duties:
* Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum and promote active learning as a Year 1 Class Teacher.
* Inclusive Teaching: Adapt your approach to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every child is supported and challenged.
* Classroom Culture: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, create a welcoming and structured environment where pupils feel safe, respected, and motivated.
* Assessment & Progress Tracking: Use a range of assessment tools to monitor student progress and inform your teaching.
* Team Collaboration: As a Year 1 Class Teacher, work alongside colleagues to plan, share resources, and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
* Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with families through regular updates and meaningful engagement.
Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Has a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a reflective approach to teaching
* Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
