Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join theirpany, an IT & Electrical Contractor based in Loughborough.
Your new role
As the Accounts Assistant, you’ll provide essential administrative and bookkeeping support to the accountant; this is a pivotal role, where you will be expected to support with the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Credit Control, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities may include:
1. Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger duties.
2. Sending and paying invoices.
3. Query resolution.
4. Cash book/cash flow management.
5. Monitoring customer accounts, chasing payments, and managing credit limits.
6. Managing outstanding debts and minimising credit risk.
7. Reviewing aged debt reports.
8. Reconciling supplier statements.
9. Handling correspondence, filing, and printing.
10. Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records.
11. Building rapport with clients.
12. Assisting with month-end duties.
What you'll need to succeed
13. Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant
14. Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger & Credit Control experience
15. Experience of cash allocation
16. High level of attention to detail
17. Excellent numerical ability
18. Positive, can-do attitude
19. Problem-solving ability
20. Goodmunication skills
21. Excellent organisational skills
The salary for this role is paying £26k-£27k, depending on experience.
Please note: this is a fully office-based role.
Hours are, Mon-Fri.
