As our HR Advisor based at our Sheffield manufacturing site, you will be responsible for providing HR advisory services on policy and process, acting as the first point of contact for queries from employees and managers. You should have experience and knowledge of employee lifecycle events and relevant employment legislation. This role is ideal for a HR Advisor with experience in building strong working relationships, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing advice and guidance in collaboration with the wider regional HR team.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent through experience (preferably in Human Resources)
* Working knowledge of HR regulatory framework, employment law & GDPR (working time, family-friendly legislation, statutory entitlements, etc.)
* Proven customer-focused and relationship-building ability
* Solid understanding of HR policy frameworks and employee lifecycle events
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Preferred:
* Experience in HR advisory or generalist role
* Experience operating in HR Shared Services or a global business services environment
* Experience working in a global matrix organization
* Knowledge of HR Systems e.g., Oracle & Ceridian applications

Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on all HR-related queries
* Advise on HR policies, processes, and activities, including benefit scheme entitlements
* Prepare and administer employee lifecycle documentation
* Signpost queries and escalate to HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, and other HR Centres of Expertise to ensure appropriate HR support and excellent customer experience
* Support the execution of annual performance and compensation programmes
* Contribute to the development of people process policies
* Assist the HR Employee Relations Manager with employee relations cases by providing advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation (performance, attendance, disciplinary & grievance)
* Ensure data accuracy for HR metrics such as absence management, headcount, performance, and employee relations cases, and report on trends to country HR Business Partners
* Support decision-making on HR policy requests like flexible working and parental leave
* Guide employees and managers in navigating HR self-service systems and communication platforms (ServiceNow, HR Hub, HRIS)
* Maintain accurate HR communication platforms and ensure they are up to date
* Promote the use of HR self-service tools across the organization
* Support HRSS colleagues with data entry, offer letter approval, data corrections, and employee file maintenance on OnBase
