Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Shift pattern: Rotating Days & Afternoons (No Nights)
About the role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join Vaillant Group, a business known for its high engineering standards, investment in people, and long‑term stability.
Based at a modern, highly automated manufacturing site near Belper, this role offers the chance to work with advanced machinery in a well‑structured environment, supported by a collaborative and experienced engineering team.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
* Diagnose faults across both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Work with PLC‑controlled equipment, drives, motors, sensors, and pneumatics.
* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
* Update maintenance activities within a CMMS system.
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
* Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams.
About You
Essential:
* Experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
* Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
* Confidence with fault‑finding and PPM activities.
* Professional, team‑focused approach.
Desirable:
* Experience with PLC fault‑finding or automation systems.
* Familiarity with CMMS software.
* Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent).
Working Hours
* 06:00 - 14:30 (Monday-Thursday)
* 14:30 - 23:00 (Monday-Thursday)
* 06:00 - 12:00 (Friday)
* 12:00 - 18:00 (Friday)
* No night shifts.
* Consistent, predictable shift pattern.
