Position: Fabricator
Location: Caldicot
Type of position: permanent
Salary: £33000 to £41600 per annum
Working 0700 – 1600 (Monday-Thursday) and 0700 – 1300 (Friday), 40 hours a week
We are now seeking to recruit Fabricator/ Welder for a busy manufacturing company based in Caldicot. The appropriate fabricator would be responsible for welding and fabricating of structural steel components to engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
- Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
- Operate various fabrication and welding equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure fabricated components meet specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
- MIG & TIG welding.
- Carry out cutting, grinding, finishing, and any additional fabrication (machining, fitting, bolting) required to meet design tolerances
Requirements
- Time served apprenticeship or similar in welding/fabrication
- Background and Experience fabrication
- Any relevant qualifications are a bonus
- Experience/background working within a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of Health and Safet
- Previous experience in using grinders, drills, oxy/acetylene cutting equipment, press brake, rolls will be required.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
