Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Fit Out Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical fit-out of enclosures, yard organisation, and final load-out operations. The role reports to the Operations Director and ensures that the final assembly phase is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards, coordinating closely with other departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the Electrical and Mechanical Fit-Out teams in delivering high-quality installation and assembly of enclosures.
* Oversee the full fit-out lifecycle from pre-fit inspections through to snagging, testing, and final handover.
* Ensure all installations meet technical standards and comply with relevant regulations.
* Carry out regular quality checks throughout the fit-out process, documenting issues and ensuring timely resolution.
* Manage the yard area, including safe storage, organisation of materials, and logistics flows.
* Coordinate the load-out of completed enclosures for delivery, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely despatch.
* Work with Planning, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure fit-out work aligns with project timelines and technical requirements.
* Resolve technical, logistical, or assembly issues quickly to avoid delays.
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in fit-out and yard areas.
* Ensure all fit-out activities adhere to H&S requirements and safe working practices.
* Support client handover and commissioning activities where required.
Requirements:
* Experience managing mechanical/electrical installation or assembly teams.
* Strong technical understanding of M&E systems and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Strong safety awareness and ability to enforce safe working practices
Working Hours
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 1:00pm on Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, and we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
