Bookkeeper
Full time permanent – fully office based
Up to £32,000

I’m recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join on a full time permanent basis. You will be responsible for the below duties:
Financial Management & Bookkeeping:
* Manage bank reconciliations across multiple companies, including bank accounts and credit card transactions.
* Post and allocate payments/receipts.
* Process month-end financial tasks such as recharges, prepayments, depreciation, and disposals.
* Maintain payment folders for different locations
* Enter purchasing and sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and check supplier statements.
* Process VAT returns monthly.
* Work with auditors on year-end financial accounts.
Payroll & Timesheets:
* Send, check, and chase timesheets for employees, self-employed and contractors.
* Process weekly payroll for self-employed workers and contractors.
* Set up new employees for holiday/absence management.
* Process monthly salaries for full-time employees.
Administration & Compliance:
* Manage supplier payments by bank transfer and cheque.
* Send customer statements and remittances monthly.
* Handle correspondence related to new agreements (e.g., land rent, hire purchase agreements).
* Renew insurance policies and tax company vehicles.
* Arrange travel for the Managing Director.
Inventory & Procurement:
* Source and negotiate diesel pricing.
* Purchase items such as stationery, cleaning materials, packaging, and printing supplies.
* Track produce sales and verify bulk sale tickets against invoices.
Skills & Requirements:
* Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial administration.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
