Job Summary
The r Warehouse Team Leader is a front line leadership role overseeing the production warehouse team in their daily tasks ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and achievement of production targets.
Assist in running efficient warehouse activities within your production area to fulfil operational and client demand and production KPI's.
Key Responsbilities
* Supervise and support a team of warehouse operatives to complete daily tasks and meet production targets.
* Plan and organise workloads so warehouse operatives are in the right place at the right time to get the job done.
* Work alongside the team in your production area, setting the pace and ensuring tasks are carried out correctly and on time.
* Prioritise tasks to meet service levels and deadlines, escalating issues when necessary to ensure continuity of service.
* Give clear instructions, guidance, and on the job training to help the team members improve and develop.
* Keep track of performance, making sure work meets agreed standards and any issues are highlighted quickly.
* Ensure health & safety rules are followed at all times, keeping the working area safe and tidy.
* Ensure packaging and operational materials are available to maintain workflow
* Work closely with other team leaders and departments to share information and keep operations running smoothly.
* Carry out other reasonable duties as required to support team and business objectives.

* Able to plan and organise daily workloads to meet deadlines and targets.
* Strong communication skills able to give clear instructions and keep the team informed.
* Hands on leadership style, working alongside the team and leading by example.
* Good problem solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and adjust plans when needed.
* Competent in monitoring performance and providing timely constructive feedback.
* Good knowledge of warehouse management systems and MS Office proficiency
Experience
* Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution or production environment.
* Experience of leading a small team in a fast paced setting.
* Familiarity with meeting KPI's and service level targets.
* Knowledge of safe working practices and health and safety requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
