We are hiring for a Principal Pre-Sales Consultant to support sales activities of the Vodafone UK Business sales channels covering both the public and private sectors. This role will support and provide solution ownership on the entire Vodafone product portfolio, from connectivity to contact centres as well as hosting and cloud services. The Principal Consultants typically lead the largest, most-complex opportunities with total contract values normally between £10M and £100M. What You'll Do: Responsible for communicating Vodafone's capability to customers. An ability to understand the customer business strategy and its impact on purchasing decisions and utilisation of technologies. An ability to scope, define and deliver consulting engagements to agreed time and quality measures. Responsible for developing roadmaps, architectures, and strategy in line with customer's expectations and Vodafone's product roadmap Responsible for the communication of customer's future requirements into the wider Vodafone business. Conducting internal and/or external solution and driving continuous technical improvement. Identifying new business opportunities and developing them into viable business propositions with colleagues from the Sales community. Responsible for technical support to commercial discussions, including opportunity qualification. Responsible for approving the solution elements of bid material. Responsible for the solution elements of the relevant governance processes. Responsible for supporting the Sales team during the bid discussions with the customer. Ensure all proposed solutions are designed using the agreed Design Methodology Responsible for understanding, capturing, and managing customer requirements. Responsible for translating customer requirements into Vodafone product-set and producing design documentation according to our own and customer-specific standards. Responsible for liaising with Product Management and other 'subject matter experts' where additional product knowledge is required. Responsible for articulating the technical solution to Service and Project Management colleagues within their client dedicated team and ensuring that the solution design provides for a straightforward deployment and may be readily managed on an on-going basis. Responsible for ensuring that all designs include an appropriate network or solution management component to support monitoring, reporting and capacity planning. Responsible for gaining 'sign off' for technical designs and ensuring relevant governance processes have been undertaken. Responsible for the technical relationship with third parties and partners. Who you are Significant Pre-Sales experience managing large and complex bids within a Telecommunications or Cloud environment Broad expertise across a diverse product stack with deep expertise in either Fixed Connectivity, Unified Communication or Cloud Services Proven track record of designing high level technical sales strategies to support success business growth Capable of working in a matrix organisation and able to build strong relationship and credibility with Board/ Executives both internally and externally. Good leadership skills being able to lead and motivate pre-sales teams, with a proven record of building people and organisational capability.
