Tobacco Dependency Advisor
Employer: Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust
Location: East Surrey, North‑East West Sussex, South Croydon (including the main hospital at Redhill and other sites such as The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital, Oxted Health Centre, Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital).
We are looking for a dedicated Tobacco Dependency Advisor who will work closely with the inpatient lead Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist and other team members to provide individualized stop‑smoking support to inpatients in a flexible and innovative way.
This role contributes to tackling inequalities in health by engaging with communities and offering practical support to change behaviour, respecting individuals’ choices and goals.
Responsibilities
* Provide stop smoking support to inpatients, tailoring advice and strategies to individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with the inpatient lead Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist and other health professionals.
* Engage with community members to promote and support cessation efforts.
* Deliver innovative, flexible care to achieve best outcomes for patients.
Qualifications & Experience

* Relevant experience in smoking cessation, respiratory care, or a related health field.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
