Company Overview:
We are a fast-growing audio-series platform offering compelling and immersive audio content. Our platform features audio-series which are more than 100 hrs. long, and we run large-scale ad campaigns on Facebook, TikTok & YouTube to drive app installs. We are looking for a talented, promo/ content writer for performance marketing to join our team and play a key role in developing and optimizing long-form ad scripts that resonate with our target audience.
Position Overview:
As a promo/ content writer, you will be responsible for creating minutes long-form story scripts that can capture user attention, engage listeners and drive conversions. Your work would include crafting a captivating pilot script, for our shows, that we can run as an ad in order to get more users on our app for that show. You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to continuously iterate and optimize ad scripts based on performance metrics, ensuring high user retention and click through rates and a low CPI (Cost per Install).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Engaging Long-Form Ads:
* Write 30-40 minutes story scripts for Facebook, TikTok and YouTube ads that resonate with the audience, captivate listeners, drive app installs, and promote our audio-series content.
* Identify varied themes to communicate a story and leverage them to create multiple high retention scripts for maximum user engagement.
* Identify the most interesting parts of the show's story, from a user's point of view, and use them to create the best representative script of the show that generates a high user intent to listen to more of the story.
Have a Data-Driven Approach and Iterative Content Optimization:
* Analyze the efficiency of the script on the basis of the data from the performance marketing campaigns, and isolate the high and low performing elements.
* Participate in A/B testing to refine and identify the best-performing ad variations.
* Continuously refine and optimize content based on performance data, including metrics like CPI, retention, completion rates, and click-through rates.
Collaborate with Marketing and Creative Teams:
* Work closely with the marketing team to align content of the ads with campaign goals and performance targets.
* Discussing & brain-storming ideas with key stakeholders and contributing towards creating a playbook of generating high-retention narratives.
Audience-Centric Writing:
* Tailor content to U.K. audiences, using data-driven insights to adjust tone, style, and messaging for maximum impact.
* Stay up-to-date with trends on Facebook, TikTok and YouTube to create content that feels native to each platform while maintaining the brand voice.
Requirements:
* At least 5+ years of experience in either of-
* Copywriting or content creation with a focus on performance marketing, social media ads, or long-form digital content.
* Journalism, especially for Tabloids or popular magazines
* Content creation and promotions for radio platforms
* Proven track record of writing high-conversion ad content, especially for social media platforms.
* Experience in continuous iteration and optimizing content based on performance data (CPI, completion rates, CTR, etc.).
* Strong understanding of U.K. audience behaviour and cultural trends
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and analytics teams.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with audio-based content (e.g., podcasts, audiobooks) or long-form story writing.
* Familiarity with content optimization strategies for long-form ads and popular social media trends.
* Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok & YouTube and the various inventories associated with them
* Familiarity with A/B testing and performance analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager)
Interview Process:
The interview process will comprise of at least 3 rounds as follows-
* CV shortlisting followed by a short exploratory call. Details on assignment will be explained during this call.
* Two- three follow up interviews based on the submitted assignment by the candidate.
