You bring demonstrated experience in the European gas and LNG market, with a strong track record of analysing market fundamentals, pricing dynamics and infrastructure developments. You form original, well-reasoned views and communicate them clearly through rigorous, defensible, and structured analysis. You bring strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with a proven ability to critically assess complex topics. You will be based in our London office as part of the European gas team!. We will trust you to: Analyse and forecast supply, demand and price dynamics across European gas and LNG markets over the short, medium and long term Research, analyse and interpret the fundamental drivers of European gas and LNG markets, translating them into clear market insights Maintain and enhance proprietary in-house market models across both supply and demand fundamentals Support and build strong relationships with clients by delivering market briefings, webinars and presenting at industry events. Engage closely with clients to help them maximise the value of our analysis and products. Collaborate closely with the global gas team and across BNEF's sector teams on themes shaping gas markets. You will need to have: Three to five years of demonstrable experience in analysing wholesale European natural gas and LNG market fundamentals and pricing dynamics Strong Python skills for quantitative analysis and data modeling Advanced Excel skills Curiosity and the ability to quickly understand, distil and work with complex topics and to communicate insights to both specialist and non-specialist audiences Rigorous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work Substantial experience in articulating insights in writing and verbally (excellent written and spoken English) A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics, Engineering or other relevant subjects We would love to see: Experience using Power BI for data visualisation and analysis Working knowledge of SQL A track record of developing and maintaining fundamental models Experience analysing power markets If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
