Perth Grammar School is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our Intensive Support Provision (ISP).

\n

We welcome applications from both Primary and Secondary colleagues.

\n

You will be responsible for leading and managing support for young people, including liaising with parents, partners and other staff within the school.

\n

You will be supported by a Pupil Support Assistant and other staff to ensure that young people's needs are met.

\n

You will contribute to staff development to enhance their professional knowledge and skills offering opportunities for further development as required.

\n

Perth Grammar School currently has a roll 700 young people and is one of the four comprehensive non-denominational schools that serve Perth City and neighbouring areas. The organisation of secondary education in this area is based on the transfer of all pupils from Riverside PS, Tulloch PS, St Ninian's PS, Luncarty PS, Stanley PS and Murthly PS.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a strong background of innovative and engaging learning and teaching experiences and a working knowledge of leading aspects of school improvement and self-evaluation.

The teacher appointed will be expected to use their significant knowledge and skills to support young people to engage in the curriculum.

\n

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage young people and show that they have a commitment to supporting pupils.

\n

The successful applicant will ideally:

* Have experience of teaching young people with a range of Additional Support Needs.
\n
* Have skills in delivering learning experiences which are engaging and challenging.
\n
* Be able to display skills in collaborative working and working with parents in a supportive and engaging manner.
\n
* Have a range of strategies to ensure that young people are healthy, safe, engaged and achieving.

If you have lived overseas for a period of 12 months or more (continuous or total) within the last 10 years, whilst over the age of 18, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.

GTCS registration is required.

A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of the above mentioned mandatory pre-employment checks (including references) and will also include eligibility to work in the UK, qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
