Summary:
Summary:
This Network Engineering role focusses on implementation of remote Network services for a DXC secure Customer. Role focus will cover LAN, WAN, Firewall, and Security infrastructures, remotely, with a key focus on Cisco and Aruba.
Expectation is the successful candidate will have 5 to 10 years proven work experience in a challenging, multi-vendor Data centre environment working as part of a team delivering project engineering functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
1. Maintain data network hardware and systems.
2. Investigate and resolve network and hardware issues.
3. Analyze, isolate, and troubleshoot network errors.
4. Assess and upgrade legacy network components as needed.
Technical Support and Leadership:
5. Provide technical support for both internal and external customers.
6. Respond to technical inquiries and recommend solutions.
7. Lead network problem escalation and resolution.
Network Installation and Configuration:
8. Install and maintain network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and system data for small to medium-sized networks.
9. Deploy network applications on servers and voice equipment.
10. Conduct network testing, maintenance, and problem resolution.
11. Perform network configurations and implement configuration changes on Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Security appliances.
Documentation and Communication:
12. Prepare network diagrams and documentation to reflect current Network operational status.
13. Draft proposal documentation to address customer requirements.
Mandatory Skills:
14. Cisco LAN / WAN skills equivalent to CCNP level.
15. Aruba LAN skills equivalent to Aruba ACP level.
16. Demonstrable experience working in a large-scale multi-vendor complex campus environment.
17. Demonstrable experience working with Checkpoint and Palo Alto Firewalls.
18. Strong technical documentation skills.
19. Experience with complex routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and iBGP.
20. Experience in configuring and managing IPSec tunnels on firewalls and routers.
21. Experience working with large scale structured cabling infrastructures in a production / manufacturing environment.
Basic Qualifications:
22. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
23. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.
24. Experience in data networking with both Cisco and Aruba infrastructures.
25. Proven experience troubleshooting LAN / WAN / FW systems and technical infrastructure.
26. Knowledge of modern network systems, networking principles, and data or video communication.
27. Eligible for or currently possess SC clearance (Mandatory).
