Description
* Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring efficient tax compliance and advisory services.
* Provide guidance on complex tax planning matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
* Review tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions.
* Support clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
* Identify opportunities to enhance client service and offer value-added tax advice.
* Mentor and develop junior team members to strengthen the department's capabilities.
* Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate their implications to clients and colleagues.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Assistant Manager should have:
* A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent.
* Experience working within a professional services environment in the tax industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters, including compliance and advisory services.
* Excellent communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering tailored client solutions.
