Prospect Medical Group have an exciting opportunity for a 6 session salaried GP to join a friendly, enthusiastic, forward thinking GP practice.
In accordance withthe practice timetable the successful applicant will be available to undertake a variety of duties including face to face, telephone and e-consultations, home visits, medicinemanagementand associated paperwork. Ingeneralthe successful applicant will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

AND/OR you are beyond your second anniversary of your certificate of completion of training, issued by the General Medical Council, at the start of your employment.
Main duties of the job
We will be operating aclinical triage modelfrom February 2026 to ensure timely access to appointments. As part of your role, you will participate in the triage rota, making clinical decisions and prioritizing appointment requests via eConsult.
Outside of triage duties, you will manage your own clinics, providing care for acute, complex, and long-term conditions. You will be responsible for delivering a safe and efficient patient journey, including all associated administrative tasks such as referrals, reviewing test results, and completing documentation.
You will also be expected to take part in the Home visits and care home rounds as required. You will be mentored and supported by the Partners and wider Multi-disciplinary team, which included Management, Admin, Nurses, HCAs Social Prescribers, Pharmacists.

Prospect Medical Group is a long established, friendly and forward-thinking GP practice in the west end of Newcastle Upon Tyne based in modern single site premises. We have 6 GP partners who employ 2 salaried GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse associate 3 Healthcare Assistants as well as a team of dedicated and supportive administrative staff. We currently have a patient list size of around 15,000. We are highly involved in our PCN (Inner West Newcastle) and through this we benefit from pharmacists,physiotherapists, psychology, paramedics, a nurse associate, mental health workers and social prescribers who work also work for the practice.
we have regular medical students from Newcastle Universcity and are working toward becoming a Training Practice.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration. Inclusion on the NHS England performers list. Membership of a medical defence union. Annual appraisal and revalidation. Current Hepatitis B immunity.
