Role Description

This is a part-time, remote role for a Freelance Sound Engineer supporting our onsite Events on the UK Tour. The key responsibilities include setting up, operating, and dismantling audio equipment, managing microphones, maintaining audio quality, and ensuring immersive sound design for the events. The Sound Engineer will be collaborating with the team to provide a seamless and transformative audio experience for attendees while troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during the events.


Tasks

* Set up and test all audio equipment, specifically for a silent disco format.
* Integrate and manage the presenter’s provided mixer.
* Ensure the seamless operation and proper gain staging of the lead presenter’s wireless microphone set.
* Operate a custom Ableton Live session provided for the backing tracks.
* Diligently follow a show running script to make accurate and timely changes to the backing tracks.
* Maintain flexibility and attention to detail, taking live cues from the presenter for any slight, unscripted track changes or transitions during the show.
* Assist with the setup and teardown of the presenter's equipment (e.g., mixer, laptop, etc.) before and after each show.
* Manage the distribution, collection, and basic cleaning/care of all wireless headphones used by event participants.



The event combines focused meditation/breathwork with backing tracks to create an immersive experience.
