Robert Half is proud to be working with a growing and values-led Health, Safety & Wellbeing business based in Esher, currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative team in a broad, hands-on role that supports two connected sister companies.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, working closely with leadership to ensure smooth financial processes and accurate reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, who enjoys autonomy and takes pride in their work.
Location: Esher, Surrey (Office-based)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE (pro rata depending on working hours)
Working Pattern: Part-time - 3 full days or 5 shorter days per week (flexible)
The Role - Key Responsibilities:
1. Full-cycle bookkeeping for two small, service-based companies
2. Management of accounts payable and purchase ledger
3. Ownership of sales ledger / accounts receivable processes
4. Bank and credit card reconciliations
5. Preparation of cash flow forecasts, management accounts, and financial reports
6. Payroll processing, including calculation of commissions for practitioners
7. VAT return preparation and submission
8. Liaison with internal team members and subcontractors on financial matters
9. Collaboration with external accountant and management for year-end accounts
10. Oversee HR-related administrative tasks and subcontractor compliance
11. Provide general office and administrative support as required
Your Profile - What We're Looking For:
12. 3+ years experience in a bookkeeping, finance, or accounts admin role
13. Proficiency in Xero accounting software
14. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
15. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
16. Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
17. Positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work
18. Preferably fully office-based (Esher location)
