As Warehouse Manager, you will provide leadership for the sites warehouse facility with a one team, one vision approach, ensuring the business achieves best utilisation of all warehouse resources in delivering exceptional Customer Delivery Performance, in a working environment where behaviors are underpinned by the Knauf Values. What youll be doing Provide leadership in the warehouse function to ensure shift teams exceed in all applicable functional and business targets. When required, extend this leadership beyond the warehouse function in the pursuit of excellence. Ensure all direct and indirect reports are engaged in skills development in terms of process skills, problem solving skills and Knauf Values based behavioral development. When necessary, engage with HR function to ensure all employees fulfil both the spirit and the letter of their contractual obligations. Ensure all processes are in place, and maintained, to service the requirements of the Customer in terms of Stock Accuracy and Loading skills within the Warehouse function. Maintain a close relationship with all site functions, in particular the Packaging Process Leader and the MPS team, to ensure that processes are followed to deliver a reliable and accurate Finished Goods stock position to service the requirements of the Customer. Responsible for all recruitment into the warehouse function, ensuring the Cwmbran site has personnel capable of meeting the future challenges in the business. Provide functional representation in on-site meetings for HSE development, Knauf Values development, Management - Trades Union relations, etc., together with external Knauf networking meetings. Provide leadership, in terms of the sites warehouse function and the sites management team, in the drive for an environment of sustainable improvement utilising best practice Continuous Improvement tools and techniques. If you have any of the following this would be an added advantage: Substantial experience of Warehousing and Dispatch operations (2 years minimum), in a 24/7 continuous process plant operation, with a palletised finished goods product. Recognised leadership / Management training with a desire to continue with personal development. Clear and demonstrable record of personal development. Significant experience of utilising people engagement to achieve process improvement. Management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Leadership and communication style which is motivating and engaging to individuals and teams. Capable of demonstrating the importance of a Values based fully aligned policy deployment to achieve demanding business targets. A demonstrable passion for Continuous Improvement. Experienced in applying Performance Management process. An understanding of the fundamental principles of Continuous Improvement. Beyond this an understanding of the importance of providing the correct environment, in terms of culture and behaviors, to sustain improvement, and experience in creating such an environment.
