An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Secretary position within Older People Care Unit. The position is based within Bassetlaw Community Mental Health Team.
This post is for an experience professional secretary who has a flexible approach to work and also has the ability to prioritise and work on their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will be to provide an efficient and comprehensive reception, secretarial and administrative support to the medical and clinical team within Bassetlaw Community which include the Community Mental Health Team, Memory Assessment Service, Intensive Home Treatment Team and Dementia Outreach between the core hours of 8am to 5pm.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Along with providing an efficient and comprehensive secretarial support, the postholder would proficient in:-
Producing high quality reports with agreed deadlines
Diary management, message taking.
Facilitating meeting/investigations/disciplinaries when required.
There will be an expectation to work flexibly to ensure office cover.
Ensure patient referrals are processed timely.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
