Senior Maintenance Engineer – KP Snacks (TieTalent)
Location: Pontefract
Shift: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
Known internally as Maintenance Lead, the Senior Maintenance Engineer role is part of the three-person Line Structure Management Team. You will own the maintenance strategy to reduce maintenance-related and breakdown losses, applying strong technical understanding of engineering systems and technology.
Operating within our Integrated Work System (IWS), you’ll embed best practices that enhance reliability, reduce costs, and drive productivity across the line.

What will you be doing?
* Lead and own the Progressive Maintenance (PM) system to ensure reliable and efficient equipment operation.
* Tackle complex maintenance challenges by driving continuous improvement and solving recurring equipment issues.
* Collaborate with operating teams and equipment owners to deliver outstanding line performance.
* Embed maintenance excellence to support performance, reduce downtime, and improve line efficiency.
* Develop technical and leadership capabilities by coaching others in a supportive environment.

Knowledge, skills and experience
* Solid foundation in engineering or electrical disciplines, ideally with a Level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds).
* Engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to support and strengthen team performance and drive practical solutions.
* Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean tools, or transferable skills from similar environments, to enhance operational efficiency.
* Manufacturing experience is beneficial, particularly in food production, but relevant skills from other industries are welcome.
* Values of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement to contribute to a positive, high-performing culture.
