Advanced Nurse Practitioner – NHS
Kingswood Medical Centre are looking to recruit an experienced advanced nurse practitioner to deliver outstanding patient care. Offered on a part-time basis, Tuesday to Friday, 25-30 hours a week, negotiable for a suitable candidate. This role will commence in December.
Responsibilities
* Delivering a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
* Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate.
* Independent prescriber: prescribing safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework.
About Us
We are a GMS non-dispensing practice and look after approximately 10,500 patients with a growing list size. We operate from modern premises and are part of Mid and South Essex ICB, and West Basildon Primary Care Network (PCN). The practice is committed to delivering high quality patient care with a supportive and cohesive team. We are rated as CQC Good and are a high QOF achieving practice.
Our team consists of 2 GP Partners supported by 6 salaried GPs. In addition to our doctors, we have other clinicians working for the practice: ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and a variety of support staff from our PCN including Pharmacists, MH practitioners and home visiting service. The clinical staff are supported by our admin team including care navigators, secretaries, workflow and prescriptions clerk. We are a SystemOne practice and hold regular clinical and practice staff meetings.

Qualifications
* Registered General Practice Nurse (currently registered with the NMC).
* Hold a recognised ANP qualification at Masters level and work as an independent nurse prescriber.
Experience
* You will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and be confident in leading in a variety of settings.
* Forward thinking and strive to develop innovative ideas and new ways of working, addressing the health needs of the practice, while motivating others to do the same.
* Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to liaise across multi-professional and agency boundaries to improve patient outcomes.
* Compassionate and respectful, upholding the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.
* Experience in primary care and GP practice essential.
