Overview
You will be responsible for carrying out non-certifying aircraft maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and/or EASA Part-145 requirements. The Aircraft Mechanic supports Aircraft Managers and Licensed Aircraft Engineers by performing both line and base maintenance to ensure aircraft are airworthy and ready for operation.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft.
* Support Aircraft Managers and Licensed Aircraft Engineers with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
* On individual maintenance inputs, responsible for their safety & quality, tooling and own tooling control, use of maintenance data, acceptance of components, man-hour recording, on-time delivery, materials management, completion of maintenance documentation and aircraft presentation.
* Instigate appropriate actions for all reporting.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety requirements, regulations and company procedures.
* Ensure the highest standards of aircraft presentation, hangar husbandry and personal appearance in line with company expectations.
* Any other reasonable request from management in line with the Aircraft Mechanic role.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Engineering/Maintenance or equivalent recognised qualification
* Previous experience working in an aviation maintenance environment
* Good understanding of Part 145
* Full UK driving license
* Computer Literate
* Ability to work 4,5,5 shift pattern
* Ability to undertake physical elements of the role such as working at height, lifting up to 25kg and mobility to allow for working in confined spaces
