A doctor appointed to this grade:
shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);
And
1. shall have completed at least four years full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT);
Or
2. shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
Applications are welcome for the above permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in the Sycamore Centre, Astley Ainsley Hospital.
The job is to join a team of Forensic Physicians providing forensic medical services to Police Scotland and assist a team of Clinical Forensic Nurses in providing Custody Healthcare and Forensic Medical Services to individuals in police stations across the South East Region including Lothian, Borders, Fife and Forth Valley. The work is hugely interesting and varied and within a growing dynamic specialty.
Appointment is subject to successful Non Police Personnel Vetting Level 2 which has a requirement that the Vetting applicant has been resident of the UK/EEA for the past 3 years.
