We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to lead a regulated children’s residential service in Stafford. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for safeguarding, quality, compliance, and service delivery within a highly regulated environment.
You will provide strong operational and strategic leadership, ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people while maintaining Ofsted compliance and driving continuous improvement.
The Role
* Lead the day-to-day operation of a children’s residential service
* Act as the Ofsted Registered Manager
* Ensure services meet Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Lead safeguarding practice, risk management, and care planning
* Manage staff recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and rotas
* Work closely with multi-disciplinary professionals and commissioning authorities
* Develop and deliver the Statement of Purpose and service development plans
* Manage budgets and maintain inspection-ready documentation
* Lead the service through inspections and regulatory scrutiny
About You
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or Children & Young People), or eligible and committed to complete
* Eligible to register with Ofsted
* Significant management experience within a regulated children’s residential setting
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability
* Confident managing teams, inspections, and complex needs
* Calm, resilient, and values-driven
Desirable
* Experience opening, stabilising, or improving a regulated children’s service
* History of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
* Experience with evidence-based or clinically informed practice models
