Job Title: Sales Manager – B2B Exhibitions Location: Guildford (2 days in-office) Salary: Competitive Uncapped Commission Company Overview: Our client, a leader in organising large-scale B2B events, is poised for significant expansion following a recent acquisition. With fresh investment and a track record of producing three highly successful retail property events, they are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to drive further growth and success. These events have become the go-to gatherings for retailers, landlords, and agents eager to connect and make deals. As the business continues to thrive, this role presents an exceptional opportunity for career progression, with a clear and promising pathway ahead. Key Responsibilities: Drive sales of exhibition and sponsorship packages, focusing on expanding the customer base and rebooking clients with increased order values year-on-year. Win new business by exploring the vast untapped market potential and up-sell and cross-sell across the events portfolio. Lead effective sales conversations in person, on the phone, and via video conferencing, with a focus on building strong client relationships. Proactively prospect for new opportunities across various platforms and collaborate with colleagues to deliver ROI for clients. Create compelling proposals that resonate with client decision-makers, championing client results within the business to secure deals and drive future growth. Utilise CRM, LinkedIn, and other systems to manage time effectively, maximise pipeline, and achieve sales targets. What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years of B2B events sales experience Confident leading conversations with C-level execs and marketing decision-makers Experience or a strong interest in the retail/property space A self-starter who’s hungry, coachable, and excited to be on the phones from day one Someone who enjoys getting in the room with clients and building long-term relationships What’s on Offer: £35,000–£45,000 base salary Uncapped commission (realistic £15K OTE in year one) 25 days holiday extra days over Christmas Private pension scheme Hybrid working — 2 days in the Guildford office (or London office option), with the rest remote Regular team socials — think go-karting, escape rooms, tennis, and more A tight-knit, supportive team culture where you’ll have a real voice and room to grow Key Behaviours: Enthusiasm: A passion for sales, events, and delivering results. Strong Negotiation: Engage effectively with professional negotiators, ensuring the best outcomes for the business. Social: Enjoy spending time with clients at events, meetings, and lunches, building deeper commercial relationships based on meaningful value.
