Offer description

Occupational Therapist

Closing date: 06 May 2026.

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Pan Dorset Learning Disabilities Intensive Support Team (IST). This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and intervention to individuals with complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge services. You will work closely with individuals, families, carers, support providers and partner agencies to promote independence, wellbeing and meaningful participation in daily life. The focus of the role is to support people to remain within their local communities and live fulfilling lives in environments that recognise their strengths and needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Occupational Therapist or someone looking to develop experience within learning disability services.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
