Are you kind, patient and committed to helping young people rebuild confidence and trust? If you’re an experienced care professional looking to make a meaningful difference, this role could be right for you.
At CrossReach, everyday moments such as sharing a meal, going for a walk, or playing a game help build trust and support young people to heal. The children in our care have faced significant challenges, and your role is to help them feel safe, believe in themselves and reconnect with their communities.
You’ll work within one of our small, homely residential houses, supported by a purpose‑built school and a dedicated team creating safe, structured environments for children to thrive.
In this role, you’ll:
* Act as a key worker, providing consistent emotional and practical support
* Support daily routines, activities and outings
* Contribute to care planning and work closely with the wider team
* Take a whole‑child approach to care and wellbeing
We’re looking for someone who has:
* Experience working in a residential or care setting, ideally supported by an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3
* A full manual driving licence, as trips and activities are part of the role
* A calm, supportive approach focused on helping young people progress
When you’ll be working
The house works to a 3‑week rolling rota, typically covering a mix of early shifts from 2pm to 10pm, late shifts from 7am to 3pm and weekly sleepover shifts. Shifts may vary slightly depending on the needs of the young people, and additional payment is provided for sleepovers.
January and February start dates are available.
At CrossReach, you’ll be part of a supportive and committed team where your contribution makes a genuine difference. If you’re ready to support young people to move forward with confidence, apply now.
Benefits
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that supports others.
* Access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card
* A generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit
* Enhanced family‑friendly policies, including a health cash plan to give you cash back for a wide range of health treatments
* A care concierge service to assist with life’s challenges
