About the Role:
Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established business based in Irlam who are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a growing organisation.
The role will suit someone who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accurate financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring they're matched with purchase orders and authorised appropriately
Maintain and update records with accurate coding and filing of financial documents
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any queries relating to invoices
Record customer receipts into the internal finance system and reconcile against bank statements and cashbook
Ensure incoming payments are correctly allocated to customer accounts
Support the wider finance team with month-end and year-end tasks
Contribute to ongoing improvements within financial processes
Carry out various finance admin duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role essential
Comfortable working with high volumes of data and tight deadlines
Strong Excel skills and confident using finance systems
Able to work independently while being a proactive part of the wider team
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
