Location: Flint, MISchedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekEnd Date for positions: June 12, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
* Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students with cognitive or emotional impairments.
* Utilize data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
* Foster a structured and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
* Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers to support student success.
* Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations.
* Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
* Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate Special Education Endorsement (CI or EI).
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education from an accredited program.
* Strong understanding of special education laws (IDEA) and best practices.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the success of every student.
