Overview
Reporting into the Transport Manager, the successful HGV Driver will be responsible for ensuring both the lorry and trailers are checked regularly with any defects noted and highlighted to the fitter and office. That any journeys are undertaken safely and legally with the loads being checked and secured.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring that journeys are planned to follow the STGO Cat 2 movement order, so the Planer arrives on site for the specified shift start time
* Liaising with the Planer Foreman and Operatives; ensuring they work together as a Team
* Working safely and in conjunction with current Driving Regulations
* Taking materials planned up on site to a designated tip
* Recording planing loads and tip details on load transfer tickets that are later returned to the Office
* Complying with company standards and procedures and be in regular contact with the NRP Transport Manager
Qualifications
* Previous HGV Driving experience along with a good knowledge of health and safety requirements
* Previous sitework experience with road planers would be beneficial, but is not essential
