Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse at Medivet Acton
Medivet Acton is a vital part of the local community, with a growing client base built through word of mouth. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team and help us maintain our success.
The Acton practice is conveniently located near our 24-hour Richmond hospital, providing access to advanced diagnostics, including CT scans, and ensuring short transfer times for overnight patients.

Responsibilities
* Client care: Deliver exceptional care to clients daily.
* Patient care: Support vets with operations, carry out nurse-led appointments, monitor and care for patients, manage admissions and discharges, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure all pre/post-operative activities are completed.
* Provide daily care, including walking, toileting, and feeding of patients, and coordinate transfers to out-of-hours care providers when necessary.
* Dispense and check medications under vet guidance, ensuring all care aligns with clinical competence.
Standards and Compliance
* Ensure clinical compliance with all regulatory and practice standards, including health and safety requirements.
Commercial Performance
* Maximize nurse-led appointments to enhance patient care and clinic capacity.
Communications
* Hold daily briefings and coordinate team activities for efficient clinic operations.
Clinical Administration
* Take samples, manage lab test packaging and dispatch, oversee stock management, escalate issues as needed, and prepare the back of house for procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Be an RCVS-registered nurse.
* Work effectively within a team.
* Support nurse consultations and contribute to clinic performance.
* Deliver exceptional client care.
* Use coaching and influencing skills to support colleagues.
Our clinics are run by small teams requiring effective collaboration. You may occasionally be asked to perform tasks outside your usual duties, provided you have the necessary skills and experience.
