Underground Construction Manager
Role Context:
The Underground Construction Manager will be supporting Worley on the Woodsmith Project which is being developed here in the North East of England. This project is re-imaging mining to improve people's lives and it is setting new standards for sustainable mining while helping to boost food production and sustainable farming practices. The role is a site based position, located near Whitby. As a Underground Construction Manager at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in leading and driving the development for the Woodsmith project which will including Shaft sinking activities and / or underground infrastructure construction experience required for this role.
You'll be:
* Ensuring MOC (Management of Change) compliance and adherence throughout project lifecycle
* Ensuring Execution plan gate criteria readiness and demonstration of mitigation to execution risks
* Reviewing the Contractor’s Quality Assurance & Inspection plans.
* Maintaining Company inspection, monitoring & hold points
* Inspecting works for technical compliance with drawings, specifications & scopes of work
You'll have:
· Management experience in the Engineering Construction Industry including Shaft sinking activities and / or underground infrastructure construction
· A working understanding of the 2014 Mining Regulations and how they impact role
· Ability to communicate effectively with the Stakeholders involved in the Project both verbally & in writing. Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output. Capable of working independently
· Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Construction/Commissioning practices and procedures
· Staff management experience (knowledge transfer)
· Demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction Management
