Are you a competent and experienced health and safety professional who is passionate about ensuring a safe working environment for NHS staff, patients, and visitors?
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting a culture of safety and compliance across our healthcare settings.
Working in Health and Safety, the post holder will be part of a team working to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of Health and Safety Legislation.
The role will include:
1. Audits of local compliance in all areas of the Hospital.
2. Support and advice in all aspects of health and safety topics.
3. Delivering training in all aspects of risk assessment.
4. Supporting with action planning and advice on suitable mitigation measures to reduce identified risks.
We are looking for someone who holds a NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent, with a background in health and safety holding a substantive role within the field for approximately 5 years. The post holder will be able to demonstrate clear application of their knowledge and skills in practice.
Experience working within the NHS setting is desirable but not essential.
