SOFT SERVICES DUTY MANAGER Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum Working Hours: Fixed Term Contract up to 12 months (Maternity Cover), Full Time, 40 hours per week, Rotational shift schedule covering morning and evening hours, including weekends Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE G4S Facilities Management has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and reliable Duty Manager to join our team at Churchill Hospital. Working as a vital part of the FM leadership, you will oversee a range of integrated services—including porterage, domestic services, front of house, and security—within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role will be to cover maternity leave on a fixed term basis, up to 12 months. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Performance: Support the Soft FM leadership team, acting as Deputy for the Head of Soft FM, Domestic, or Portering Managers when required. Oversee the real-time performance of Soft FM services, ensuring all contractual SLAs and KPIs are met. Monitor the Concept system Open Task Report daily to ensure all service requests are logged and resolved per protocol. Compliance & Safety (Health, Safety & Environment): Act as the appointed lead for COSHH and ISO compliance within the SHE Matrix. Maintain and update Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for site staff and contractors. Lead Level 3 Accident Investigations, ensuring thorough reporting and timely closure. Provide expert advice to employees and contractors to ensure a safe, compliant working environment. Stakeholder & Contract Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to foster cooperative working partnerships. Provide expert interpretation and implementation advice regarding contract terms. Enforce company policies for contractor procurement to ensure all third-party services satisfy contract requirements. Essential Proven operational experience within Soft Facilities Management (Domestic, Portering, or Security) specifically in a healthcare environment Strong line management or supervisory experience, with a track record of leading diverse frontline teams. Experience working within strict contractual frameworks, consistently delivering against service KPIs and SLAs. Practical experience in budget management and cost control. Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including the practical application of Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Permit to Work procedures. Proven experience utilising CAFM systems (such as Concept) to manage tasks, track performance, and maintain operational records. Proficient in standard office software and digital tools to ensure accurate reporting and efficient communication.
