GSL Education are seeking dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools in Nottingham. This is a wonderful opportunity to help children develop key skills and confidence during a vital stage of their education.
Role Overview:
As a Key Stage 1 TA, you will work alongside class teachers to provide focused support to pupils aged 5 to 7 years. Your role will involve assisting with lesson delivery, supporting children with additional needs, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
* Support teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and development.
* Assist pupils with special educational needs and additional requirements.
* Help maintain a safe, calm, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social skills.
* Assist with the preparation and organisation of learning resources.
Requirements for KS1 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with young children in an educational or care setting is desirable.
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
