This is an exciting opportunity to join the Adoption Team in Leicester as a Social Worker, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children and their future families. Working full time, you will earn £ 38 per hour on a locum basis for a period of 3 months. Be part of a passionate team that is dedicated to recruiting, training, and assessing prospective adopters while offering support through family finding to matching panel, and staying involved until the Adoption Order is granted. Based in the vibrant heart of Leicester city centre one day a week, coupled with team meetings at the children’s centre, you will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful community work.
Responsibilities
* Recruit, train, and assess prospective adopters to ensure children are matched with loving and supportive families.
* Support adopters through the family finding process to the matching panel, ensuring a seamless transition until the Adoption Order is granted.
* Engage in family finding for every child in Leicester City who has a Placement Order, working collaboratively with the regional adoption agency Family Adoption Links.
* Collaborate with colleagues during city centre workdays and participate in team meetings at the children’s centre, sharing insights and strategies.
* Maintain comprehensive records and reports, tracking the progress of adoptive placements.
