Kelly Park Limited is a passionate and dedicated home care provider located in Consett, County Durham that strives to empower individuals to live independently in the comfort of their own homes whilst receiving support for a variety of unique care needs and requirements. We are looking for a Social Care Training Officer to join our team and help us deliver a high standard of training to our new and existing workforce. It is essential that the successful candidate holds a recognised “Train the Trainer” qualification, as this will be fundamental to delivering and maintaining our gold-standard training programme. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our employees receive high-quality training in line with up-to-date government bodies and legislation, and provide individualistic support to the wider workforce's training needs. Training Program Development: Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive training program for care teams. Focus on providing insightful and bespoke training to both new and existing employees. Ensure training programs align with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the social care sector. Hold a recognised “Train the Trainer” qualification (mandatory) or equivalent, along with relevant sector qualifications such as NVQ Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care. Provide guidance and support to staff pursuing qualifications. Training Delivery: Design and deliver training sessions in collaboration with internal line managers and HR teams. Conduct assessments to ensure staff competence and compliance. Plan and execute inductions, specialised training, and elective components. Evaluation, Compliance & Audit Support: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements. Maintain accurate training records for staff and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements. Support the organisation in compliance monitoring and internal/external audits relating to the training of employees. Stay informed about industry changes and update training content accordingly. Educational Supervision and Support: Provide educational supervision to employees, monitoring competency assessments. Offer mentoring and support feedback to enhance individual and team performance. Collaboration and Networking: Liaise with external colleges and professional bodies to facilitate the professional development of our employees. Foster collaborative relationships to stay abreast of industry best practices. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. You will be primarily based at our main office in Consett. As part of the role, travelling to local events, job fairs and delivering training at different sites is essential.
