Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting warehouse management activities to include scanning, printing labels and checking manifests. This role requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage goods in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience of loading groupage consignments on standard and double deck trailers are highly desirable.
Duties
1. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse
2. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
3. Handle materials with care, ensuring safe stacking
4. Labelling pallets
5. Scanning pallets in and out to locations
6. Conduct safety inspections of equipment before use to prevent accidents or malfunctions
7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety standards
