We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assessor/Trainer in Electrical Installations to join our dynamic Construction team at the Cambridge Campus.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them through their complete learning journey from initial training through to successful End Point Assessment completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Assessment Excellence:

16. Deliver high-quality training and ongoing support to apprentices
17. Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments and progress reviews
18. Monitor and record detailed apprentice progress throughout their programmes
19. Guide apprentices through End Point Assessment preparation and requirements

Relationship Management:

20. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with employer partners
21. Act as the key liaison between training provider, apprentices, and workplace supervisors
22. Contribute to business development initiatives and employer engagement

Professional Standards:

23. Keep current with industry standards, regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
24. Coordinate development of knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned with apprenticeship standards
25. Maintain comprehensive documentation and accurate records
26. Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements

Flexible Working:
This role offers agile working flexibility, including a blend of on-site duties, workplace visits across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties, and remote administrative work from home.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

27. Professional Qualification: Level 3 (or higher) in Domestic and Commercial Electrical Installation
28. Industry Experience: Substantial, relevant experience in the electrical sector
29. Teaching/Assessment Experience: Proven background in education or training delivery
30. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Apprenticeship Standards and EPA requirements
31. Communication Skills: Professional communication and relationship-building abilities
32. IT Proficiency: Confidence using digital systems and modern teaching technologies
33. Mobility: Valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle insured for business use
34. Personal Qualities: Flexibility, collaborative mindset, and passion for developing others

Desirable:

35. Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
36. Experience with apprenticeship delivery and End Point Assessment processes
