Join our team as Workforce Planning and Health and Care Staffing Coordinator.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to coordinate workforce planning activities across NHS Dumfries & Galloway. This role ensures safe and effective care by coordinating workforce plans, supporting compliance with the Health and Care Staffing (Scotland) Act 2019, and driving improvements in staffing processes.
As the post holder, you will oversee workload planning tools, deliver training, and provide expert guidance to services on statutory duties in the Health and Care Staffing (Scotland) Act 2019. You will work closely with clinical teams, HR, and finance colleagues to integrate workforce data and develop sustainable staffing solutions that align with organisational priorities and national standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach. You should have experience in workforce planning, data interpretation, and project coordination, alongside a thorough understanding of the Health and Care Staffing Act. Proficiency in digital tools and systems, including Excel and workforce management platforms, is essential.
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home and the office. However, regular in-person attendance is required.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
