Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning? A nurturing SEN School near Blandford Forum is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing consistent emotional and academic support to pupils aged 4–11
* Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
* Supporting pupils with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech difficulties
* Building trusting relationships that foster resilience and self-esteem
* Maintaining a safe and vigilant environment in line with safeguarding policies
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Previous experience in SEN or mental health support roles
* Comfortable working in a PRU setting with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
* Skilled in de-escalation and positive behaviour support
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education
* Able to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Driving licence required if living outside Blandford Forum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
